Susie a novelist from Seattle is about to get serious with her longtime boyfriend Ben. After dating for 6 years Ben finally encourages her to move on with their lives buy a house and get married. Suddenly Susie questions her routine relationship with Ben. To think things over she takes a trip to L.A to visit her Sister Carmen. Her sister turns out to be held up on a job leaving Susie alone with her worries. Soon after arriving She meets Sandy, a free spirited unconventional photographer. They become instant friends and in the few days they spend together a deep affection starts to build up which turns Susie’s life up side down. She now not only questions her relationship with Ben but after experiencing a whole new possibility of how to love, Susie is forced to decide - is she going back to what she knows or will she be brave and take a chance of a lifetime?
