Arel Hugh lives in Lancashire and has been married to April for 4 years. She is currently pregnant with their first child. However he works in an unfulfilling job as a Kitchen salesman, wanting to find a way out he befriends an elderly man, Jean-Paul Alastor who has been teaching him how to possess others by shifting his spirit into other people, leaving his own body dormant as he wanders the streets of Preston looking for another vessel to take over. On returning back to his own body he finds his body missing, leaving him as a wandering spirit. This comes with consequences as the longer he is out of his own body, the more he forgets his own life. So in order to find his body and get it back he has to possess others along his journey, learning about other people’s truths and dark secrets. He then finds out that Jean-Paul Alastor has taken Arel’s body for his own and learns that he has been doing this for over 100 years, taking over the bodies of younger men to live longer.
