Mia feels an emotional connection to this place, people care for prostitutes here. It’s her special place, where she allows herself to be a child and plays with the dolls and teddy bears, toys that she never had. By these railings, she hopes and dreams that one day she will go to college and have a family. The cruelty and daily torment of brothel life diminishes all sense of reality for her. Mia proceeds with a life changing decision. The pain of not being able to change becomes too great.
