‘1 & Only’ is story of a Marine who is the sole survivor of an ambushed fire team on patrol in Afghanistan. Mentally distraught, after awakening from the ambush to find all his Marines dead, he buries his fallen brethren and doesn’t return to his post. He eventually makes his way back to America, keeping a low profile, not contacting any friends or family. Mentally tortured by memories of the ambush and the guilt of surviving; he wonders aimlessly always on his guard. One day, while at a restaurant, he’s approached by an attractive waitress who shows interest in him. Slightly letting his guard down, he leaves the restaurant with the waitress and they proceed to get a hotel room together. While she steps into the bathroom to freshen up; he turns the television on and a newscast catches his attention. The broadcast names him as a fugitive suspected of collaborating with the insurgents on the ambush of his fire team; and states that federal agents are close to an arrest. Can he escape and is he ready to live life on the run?
