Re-Vinylized is a 30 minute documentary that celebrates the culture of independent record stores while exploring the effects of the Internet and downloading on these stores, and how this technology has influenced the recent resurgence in vinyl record sales. The film incorporates footage of many of Chicago’s independent record stores, interviews with store owners, employees and customers, as well as insightful comments from national music critics Jim DeRogatis and Greg Kot of National Public Radio’s Sound Opinions program.
