Based on the classic Anton Chekhov short story (“The Guest”), this film is adapted to fit modern day America. A retired colonel visits John’s house and overstays his welcome with boring war stories. John unsuccessfully tries various ways to badger the guest to leave. He finally comes up with a scheme that has the colonel rushing out the door, but at the cost of his whole evening. |
