Record Store Day 2013 saw the Sixth celebration of the UK’s unique independent record store culture. This is the one day that all of the independently owned record stores join with both artists and the general public to celebrate the art of music. Greatcoat Films have honoured the day with a Fifteen minute film highlighting the vital importance and excitement of the independent record store. Featuring exclusive interviews and live music performances from some of the most exciting contemporary artists including Tom Odell, Ghostpoet and Paul Weller, this short documentary film gives a fascinating insight into the culture of the UK’s record stores and their disciples. How they have shaped not only the artists creative output, but also the listeners love of music. |
