When Solomon Grundy’s absent minded wandering through life finds him as a failing family man and “writer” his wife Martha decides to leave him. While the author meets an agreeable and willing friend in a video store clerk who agrees to take him in, Martha offers for her son’s soccer coach, Jack, to move into the Grundy home. As Martha goes after Jack, Jack tries to get the family back together and Solomon Grundy attempts to return home through vying for his wife’s affection the bizarre triangle finds a cast of eccentrics all struggling to arrive at some sense of a normalcy in a world that is a little bit off.
