Spare Parts is a modern take on the story of serial killers Burke and Hare. Two calculating psychopaths in contemporary Ireland kidnap and murder victims to order to sell their body parts on the worldwide black market in organs for transplant. Psychopath Burke kidnaps and holds the helpless victims in a makeshift prison in rural Ireland until surgeon Hare arrives to remove the required parts. But one last female victim disturbs Burke’s practised routine and manages to turn the tables on him. Using a hidden mobile phone she manages to briefly call police. Using the phone signal they track her down and storm the house to confront a heavily armed Burke. Burke dies in the ensuing exchange of gunfire and the girl is freed.
