Amelie is seven months pregnant and inherited a land from her father she never knew. She has to go back to the village where she was born to discover why she was mysteriously abandoned by her parents. The film goes back in time five times to tell the story from five different vantage points. This unique storytelling distinguishes from an ensemble film (where we follow multiple storys) because we’re always in the same story. Each new perspective reveals pieces of information solving Amelie’s puzzle. SAULE (The Willow) is an indie movie produced with crowd funding. It’s the first feature of Quebec filmmakers Emanuel St-Pierre and Alexandre Gauthier. |
