Scared the crap out of me as a kid. I’m still terrified of that little tiki thing.
IKR? I was 16 when this came out. It’s kinda silly now but I truly had nightmares over the last part for weeks. Kept jumping up onto my bed so I didn’t get stabbed in the ankle by some tiny troll. Yikes, lol.
Classic horror movie. I’d heard about this for ages but had not ever checked it out. Karen Black is great in this. Sure it’s cheesy but it’s still a good watch because of that fact.
Well kids love cheesy $h!t so it’s not a wonder lol.
A great 3 stories. Not quite Hollywood production values, but its better than a B movie, its a top end television quality. Karen Black does some great acting, until she’s being chased, then it gets a bit cheesy. I had school friends who would share the inside joke of haing seen the third story on late night TV, both as scary and silly. One kid tried to replicate the doll in art class. Great stuff!
The first 2 stories were OK, although slow-paced. But the last one, just about got on my every nerves. The way the girl kept over-exaggerating her walking around, looking more like someone with physical disability, then someone trying to get away from danger. I don’t remember how many times I screamed at that idiot, to try a little harder to defend herself. It’s interesting though, that they would reprise the last story in part 2, almost 20 years after part one, almost scene for scene. Decent enough for a one-time watch, if bored. Don’t expect a masterpiece.
