I saw this in the theater when it was released and if my memory serves me right it was a slow burn and didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would. What did you make of it?

The remake doesn’t have the style of the Carpenter film and is just a weird run on sort of meaningless tripe. I think this one is super classic and the cheesiness is what the 1980’s was about… Including Halloween.
Amazing. Filmed in anamorphic widescreen Panavision despite its obvious low budget, and the acting chops of Jamie Lee Curtis and other season professionals make this a must watch at least once. Fabulous.
lil fact, John Carpenter is currently performing scores of movies hes composed. I think there was 1 show in NY and the rest will be in LA.
