A-Date-Aside exposes the affects of bullying and the attempt at or successful suicidal results. The film confronts the reality from the perspective of both the bully victim and their parents. The purpose of this film is to reach the victims of bullying and convey the message ‘Don’t opt out.’ The bullycide numbers are increasing daily. The victims believe they have no alternative. This film shows them the possibility of a wonderful and loving world. It encourages communication between the bullying victim and their parents. It also encourages the victims to hold on, they will get better and so will their life. If this film saves one person from committing suicide then the efforts of all the volunteers involved were not in vain. |
