Hunt for the Wilderpeople is such a Great movie. Love me a bit of Sam Neil and Rima Te Waita. Let alone the story is based on a book, by one of our most infamous Kiwi storytellers- Barry Crump.

Throwback throwback to 80/90s movies. Captured the feel/look of ‘99. Really takes you back. But don’t expect much. Turn your brain off for 90 mins.
The hacking scenes are 100% real.
Can’t wait for this to be available.

I don’t think it’s as terrible as a lot of people are saying. Definitely was expecting more, but it was dumb fun. If you can’t tell from the content of the movie, you’re probably not going to enjoy it as much if you’re stone sober. I was hoping for more 90’s actors to cameo.

Were you going into it expecting a Horror Comedy? Or a Comedy with Horror elements? it was made by Kyle Mooney, So I wouldn’t expect anything taking it self serious or to be well done, just more of a ridiculous movie of nonsense with bad acting.
I watched it. 4:45pm at the theaters, we were the only ones in there but I really wanted to support this kind of movie and my boy Kyle. It was a good first attempt for Kyle Mooney, but yeah, could have been better. Still entertaining. That’s all I can say.
It isn’t the worst movie I’ve ever watched but I know it’s not good when I have no desire to finish it. It was predictable much of the time. I lost most interest when the heavy set kid died. Perhaps if I was younger by 20 or 30 years I would have enjoyed it more. They were definitely targeting a younger demographic. Even the music suck, in my opinion. I was very disappointed.⭐⭐
Even the Fred Durst parts were sooooo underwhelming. I expected a bit more there for sure.
