Annie, an insecure, but attractive young woman who seeks to escape loneliness through engaging in one-night stands, attempts to please a man. To her surprise, the Man stops her and instead insists on catering to her needs first. Not used to such considerate treatment, she lets her walls down and allows for emotional intimacy during the heat of the moment. However, in the ensuing conversation, during which the Man attempts to get to know her, Annie’s insecurity and bewilderment causes her to withhold her desire to connect. After the Man leaves, Annie is faced with the decision to forego her routine refusal to pursue anything further or to risk emotional vulnerability for the possibility of something more.
