Good Movie, I highly recommend it.
The trailer got me expecting golden-age scifi. So I was a bit disappointed that it was more an action flick with only a smattering of exploration of the themes driving the action.
That said, it was a pretty good scifi action flick.
About what I thought about it as well. Was really looking forward to it, and at first thought I might have stumbled onto something good, then it kinda went downhill on me. You described it pretty good. Effects were good enough, for the most part. Basic action flick turned science fiction.
What we need I think is someone to take one of those really good old fashioned Rippin’ good space operas that used to get written back in the day when I was growing up (am 61), that used to take a trilogy to write and covered thousands of years (or more), not Foundation (which they altered the heck out of, but it’s decent for what it is, just changed from the original concept), and since they have already done Dune, they could do something like the start of the Rama series by Clark, for example, or maybe Gateway by Pohl as an example.
Not like they don’t have the effects now to do it right, and is they actually stuck to those as written, they would probably have a massive hit on their hands, and could do sequel after sequel as people would probably love those…
Pretty good action and special effects, decent story.
Oh Baby! The HD stream is out! Heard great things about this.
Another new movie to put on my list. Thank goodness I have 3 weeks of vacation that I’ll take over the next three months because my ever-growing list of stuff I want to watch is getting out of control.
I’m old. I’ll be dead and gone before I finish my want to watch list, while still keeping up with my current shows.
I’ve been adding to my list since the weekend! But, I shall retire in 2 years and I don’t think I shall need a part-time job any time soon. My plan is to do nothing the first 6 months but watch tv shows/movies and by then I will have to make myself get out of the house maybe twice a week.
That’s pretty much where I am. I go out about twice a week for whatever errands I need to run, but mostly, I just sit and watch videos. So much good entertainment, so little time.
Oh gosh, well sourdough doesn’t need added yeast. It is resident, meaning, it is superior to non-resident yeast. It is what “auld timers” used as a method of inducting sportive yeast colonies in the intestine. Do NOT use sugar, or artificial yeast; You will KILL the positive bacteria distinctive to your habitat and destroy all efforts to cultivate positive gut flora.
Okay, but as I said, I don’t make it anymore and don’t plan on getting a starter anytime soon. I’ll stick to the bread I make, and it sells very well. And they have an option, a hard crust or a soft crust.
Fair play to you! (٭′ᵕુ‵)ુ(ૂ′ᵕ‵ॢං)
HA! I do the same with the two burners and the second sink. I have a cutting board that fits right over one side of the sink and made a wooden board to go over the two burners I hardly ever use. I’m hoping to get a toaster oven/air dryer combo for Christmas so I can get rid of the individual ones I have now and make more prep space. My microwave has to sit on a table right outside the kitchen door. If I ever get another house, I’m going to make sure it has a HUGE kitchen!
You guys understand you can PM each other right?
👍🏼
haha I know what you mean, my Plan To Watch list is 243 and growing
chump change, i’m over 1500 on my plan to watch/watching/on hold (till next season) list and that dosen’t include movies lmao
And more good stuff comes out or is uploaded every season! You can never catch up.
its a lifestyle thing, enthusiasts i guess. for me its about stories. bergman has his own cinema on his own island, phwahh, watches 9 hours a day. heard the same things from my friends in the industry, seems more like work than wandering though.. I do enjoy new modes of transmission but i think basic stories are all you need to get those emotions kickin or philosophy tinkerin. Im looking forward to greater immersion like existenz.. maybe less like total recall. but really just trying to be a better human and have some laughs.
Good thought process. Your points are very important regarding our relationship with entertainment. We dig where you went with it (ツ)
So is this a future documentary?
Other direction. Distant past. Those who don’t remember history are condemned to repeat it. (nudge).
I didn’t think this review was very good at all. Same monotone disgruntled voice I have heard a thousand times.
It was all right, three and a half Stars
cant wait see this one. us Vs AI
This is about the evolution of man as if we took the 60’s robotic (think of the commercials) age seriously and developed that industry into working sentient AI. The AI just didn’t want to die or be a slave.
