Not at all what I expected. Nice, honest, entertaining to the end. Worth watching.
based on a true story (can mean so many things especially with a disney interpretation ) and not always accurate - watch the 8 min clip on youtube to get the true life story of ivan - i hated this so much - dont see the funny side of this at all i saw was cages and performing animals -the only good bit is right at the end when u see how much space ivan got at the zoo and the real clips- after 27 years in a cell -and there is review on imdb from some one who saw ivan and recalled how unhappy he actually was
I canât and wonât watch movies like this. They break my heart and piss me off. What a tale his thoughts would tell. And yes, Gordon Lightfootâs song inspired that last sentence.
Knowing the true story this was not very entertaining for me overall but the amazing CGI, heartstring tugs, and happy ending makes it a decent one-time view.
This is a feel good film that I will definitely re-watch a few times. It is thoroughly entertaining from beginning to end and very well produced. Donât miss out on this one.
nice family film with a heart felt story
Chaka Khan voiced Henrietta the chicken. When the animals were in their crates read to leave the mall, Henrietta says to Frankie the seal, âAinât nobody loves you betterâ, which is a line from Chakaâs song âAinât Nobodyâ. Loved that!
Edit: Also, during and at the end after the credits, thereâs a few seconds extra footage!
Great movie for family night! Well, would be a great movie to watch any night. Blockbuster film and one that I would love to buy for the collection. Putting it on my favorites list! Enjoy.
Very good film based on a true story.
