haha your review encouraged me to watch it since I loved all the movies you’ve mentioned. Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy it as much as I did. but a 6/10 ain’t too bad either. I found it easy to follow, only got lost when I tried to complete a puzzle and watch the movie-that wasn’t happening. I liked the movie more and my brain cells are not that advanced. Once I did that, I was all in. I don’t mind watching it again with friends TBH
This woulda been a bomb series…. a bit too much story to throw into the timeframe of a movie….(think about how often they could have used flashbacks to tell the story…it’s like they limited themselves on the frequency of flashback’s)
Idk, technologically it kinda makes sense, in the beginning it’s early 90ties, in most of the movie it’s nowadays and the future is 2030ties, timeline isn’t really an issue here.
He’s not really a king with an army, he has majority of the infinites on his side and he has a lot of mercenaries that are throwaways, majority of those goons would be ignorant to everything as long as they are paid.
I think that this is an introductionary movie into the themes, they have to make sequels and prequels though.
I didn’t even know this came out…completely missed it. The secret is looking at what’s trending along with the featured list, that way you won’t miss anything new! the featured list, I was told by a mod, is reserved for movies playing in theaters…I guess the amount of theaters it plays in also determines it’s place, if any, on the list. That’s why they made the, what’s trending list, in case you were wondering why some shows do not get listed even if it has big actors or it’s really popular.🙏🙂
if you can believe Ferrari crashes through iron gates at speed and doesnt even get a scratch this movie is for you -i am seriously starting to think 2021 is the year for stupid movies all the latest releases should just be labelled implausible garbage and this is no better -again switch brain off (i have said this so many times this year) to enjoy weak as storyline with lotsa silly action -this could been labelled fast and furious episode its that dumb and the acting was truely woeful and cliched
The MASSIVE plot holes in this really annoyed me and stopped me enjoying it. (EG the nihilists want to stop reincarnation, but it is they who have the de-throwner technology. The egg location was painfully obvious, the entire egg thing made no sense. )
Its an okay movie but stopping for a fraction of moment of thought spoils it 3/10
I kinda think that the de-throwner doesn’t actually kill you or stop you from living, it simply jails you without a body in a “hard disk”, so that’s why they don’t just shoot themselves…
The egg actually makes a lot of sense if you think about it, they are used to discarding the bodies as empty shells, so they don’t think about them in any other way.
Overall, I think that this is a great movie of a would be series.
The egg I believe was propagated chicken embryo, it being carrier of some virus.
But the nihilists are nihilists and would surely try to shoot themselves.
If a man has no corporeal form and has no soul or mind to express does he exist? Are memories of deceased loved ones physical living beings because they are stored in the mind of their loved ones?
Remove the body, remove the mind, remove the soul there is no life.
More interestingly if it is possible to capture their soul onto a memory disk why is it not possibly to read it, to edit it, duplicate it.
If the nihilists view their existence as suffering, fearing rebirth the isolation of being trapped in a womb then using the de-throwner would remove them from the cycle.
Well, as I mentioned it in other comments, there are a lot of plot holes, but some of them are semi explained, which is why I’d say this is an introduction to a larger series.
Here’s the problem with your replies is that you’re assuming stuff to make up for the plot holes. Unless you’re the creator of this series you don’t know how to explain them away. They messed up with this overstuffed reincarnation theme in movie timeframe, period.
Well the thing is, leaving holes in plot that are left for viewers imagination is a good thing, that’s essentially what all the great animes have always done, at the same time some of those holes should get addressed if they move the franchise forward as I innitially said, I want a larger universe out of it, otherwise it’s not that great, there’s a lot that can engage you with this story and a lot that leaves you to desire more.
This flopped so hard that I don’t know why you think a studio would want to waste money for sequels of this franchise. They have no plans to expand this universe, so wishful thinking won’t make this movie good or explain flaws. I know a lot of movies that woulda/coulda/shoulda been a great series with the proper storytelling and acting, usually they’re based on novels and didn’t make it past first film. Even if this does somehow down the road gets a continuation with a sequel or even show they don’t change the original film from being a mess.
I think that companies should stop looking at what Rotten Tomatoes say and ask the fans, the cinema critcs these days positively rate only two things minorities and strong idependent woman.
It was fun. A few good ideas, a few good set pieces. But also some of the supporting cast isnt that great at acting and there are some plotholes, but Mark Walbergh is in this so I dont think it was supposed to be high brow science fiction.
I enjoyed it for what it is.
A lot of plotholes that would require at least a bunch of movies to explain, but overall it’s pretty ok, 7/10
I like a good action/sci fi and this didn’t disappoint at all… glad I watched it.
Marky Mark stabs a plane with a samurai sword
Now that was right funny!!!
That’s really all you need to know about this movie.
lmao!!!!!!!!!!! 3 years later funny still….
SO HAPPY I GAVE IT A CHANCE-THIS WAS GOOD! Light humur, action, great for family, well paced, cool graphics. No, it wasn’t the best but if you take it for what it was, I think you’d really like it. It’s still better than most of the crap that’s out here. I even loved the fact that they ran out of bullets & used someone else’s gun (just a bit of a pet peeve of mine. I hate when obvious things suppose to happen and people don’t use common sense). WHAT I REALLY LIKE IS THAT I CAN SEE THE SEQUEL BEING EVEN GREATER. I’m looking forward to it. 4/5
Not bad for a one time watch, thats if you’re bored
That was good !
I thought this was a fun movie. There was plenty of action too…when watching these types of movies, I expect there will be things that don’t make sense, that’s part of the fun!
GREAT movie! Never a dull moment! The writer wrote a great story. Antoine Fuqua did a great job! It deserves a sequel!
Four people who aren’t Christopher Nolan get together and make a film by Christopher Nolan.
this snuck in here all quiet like….and lighthearted fun was had by all!! Marky’s shows used to have a lot more fanfare….
The ending is not the ending for these guys, they just keep going. Exciting action and story with good characters. There were a few good action movies this year and this is one of them. Enjoy!
think i skipd this cus of bad copy or some, and forgot about it - this is a ok new movie, this might be the last good sci-fi iv seen! - so far between (
Finally got around to watching this, just got bored all day and spent the day watching movies, stuck in the snowstorm. Was actually pretty darn good, worth the watch.
Show reminded me of Tenet/Highlander. Interesting premise and a few neat things but not an overall success due to the unrealistic fights and battles. 3/5
This is more of a mix of Matrix and Highlander, but tbqh it’s pretty well executed, I totally want sequels or prequels to it.
Highlander? Really? You’ve piqued my interest.
yup ditto anything thats similar to Highlander i will give a watch
Fuqua is a great director, the cast is good, the concept is cool, but the product is unfortunately lesser than it’s parts. They do so little with the idea of the infinites, it’s actually a huge shame, it’s just used as a framing device for a fairly mediocre action film even though there are so many interesting things you could do with it. Feels like it would actually make a better series, could spend more time exploring the consequences of remembering all your past lives and the toll that could take on you. Probably should have had more of an espionage element too, they’re kind of like the illuminati after all, working behind the scenes for thousands of years for the betterment or detriment of mankind. Instead the action takes the form of the more traditional, lets say, bombastic blockbuster action, jumping out of planes, car chases, whatnot. All that’s great when done well, but I don’t think it really fits here. I can forgive a mediocre action movie, but a squandered premise is a loss keenly felt.
I kinda look at this as an introduction to a larger series, they have to follow up with a bunch of movies to fix the issues and add more interesting stories to it.
Overall, I agree that it has it’s holes and it definitely could had been more, but if they do it right, sequels/prequels would actually fix it all.
That was really badly stupid as plots go. Good action, not bad acting, but the story just had too many holes. Knock off own-brand assassins creed - 3/5. Edit: The hand-to-hand was pathetic.
Release News. Infinite was originally scheduled for a theatrical release on August 7, 2020, but was delayed to May 28, 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was delayed again to September 24, 2021, when A Quiet Place Part II was moved to the May 2021 slot. On May 6, 2021, Paramount cancelled Infinite’s theatrical release.
However, Deadline reports Infinite will hit the Paramount+ streaming service in June.
IMDb now confirms Infinite will Premiere on Paramount+ on Sunday, June 10th, 2021.
Tried to but couldn’t finish this one. Marky Mark’s narration made my skin crawl and eyes twitch.
That’s entertainment.
dude created a way to trap the infinite’s using that bullet, so my question is after ebing trapped what happens, are they aware of what is going on or is it just nothing and it is like death and their is nothingness like they are not aware or conscious of what is what while in that chip. if that is the case then dude found his solution to not reincarnating after death without having to kill everyone. just shoot them in the head and they will end their torment. dude found a solution but chose not to use it but instead take the drastic measure when he is a phuucking genius. my thing is that he created the egg but took every wrong turn to get the egg instead of just creating a new one and all problems would of been solved without any interference.
Enjoyable blockbuster. Some Fast and furious parts but still watchable. Cool idea. Good soundtrack. 7ish/10
I have to say, 5/5 stars I don’t write a lot of reviews, nor do I ever read them until after. This is one of the best movies I have seen coming from the pandemic time, well written, directed, and delivered by the actors/actresses. The stunts and vehicles are wonderful, great locations and kept me excited, interested, and ended without leaving me wondering what is next. Give it a real look at, If you can relate to the first 10 minutes, you too will enjoy it.
Not bad. It’s like Citadel meets Assassin’s Creed. No BS, just action without any signaling.
I think I might watch it and I actually saw Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch in person. And no, I didn’t buy a ticket to see them. I was a DJ at a local radio station, and I think the Walmart Corporation brought them in for their yearly golf tournament and the radio station did a live remote at the golf course. This was about 35 years ago so my memory is a bit fuzzy, and the screaming teens got on my nerves!
This and The Tomorrow War should be in the featured section.
