Well, it’s pretty much just another Scream movie for bad or good. Depends mainly on if you still like slashers or care about franchise anymore because it really doesn’t differentiate enough with each sequel. Truthfully, I found the motive real stupid this time. I do like how it’s self aware just enough to be a complete parody of the genre with many Scream movies or even other shows to come.
people in the comments are so mad it keeps the plot of Scream. lol, what are they even here for? Horror movies never deviate from the og premise, when they try (Halloween 3) they get cooked by the fans. This is a worthy successor to the Franchise and gave us a new Sidney in the form of Jenna Ortega.

Saw it at the movies and I can’t say I was super happy, but I think it was a good edition to the Scream Franchise. The Killer is faster and definitely more uncompromising. The reveal was (at least for me) not a surpise, and the explanation was bad, but I definitely enjoyed the sub-plot, and the way they finished the killer, lol.

Uggghhhh as a die hard Scream fan, what a let down!!! By far the worst movie of the Series. Might as well start making STAB movies 🤷🏾♂️

I can’t wait to see this movie. I had no idea they were doing a remake. I started the movie but I don’t have young ears anymore, gonna wait for an HD copy. So, what I saw looks like the perfect start to a good Scream.
Not really a remake. Check out the trailer, looks really good. I am personally going to wait until DVD or better before I watch this also. That tells you how excited I am for this one, not giving into temptation with the cams. I am really hoping this is as good as it looks.

Finally!!! Hi-def versions of this movie. We only had theatre bootlegs for a long time. Movie was pretty good with an appropriate mix of bad and stupid.
All the other Screams were better than this but I did enjoy it but Halloween Kills is on top
I really enjoyed the movie and plot twist. Yes, some of the things remain the same because of the story; however, the way they are delivered makes the movie very exciting and entertaining.
Expecting much now a days from recent releases really disappoints….let see…

watch one scream film you have seen them all. this film got boring really quick when they kept on about stab and being all meta, it was funny in scream 2 but not funny now.
the writers and director did ready or not which was much better than this.
I cannot freaking believe that they freaking killed of Dewey Riley this was such a brave freaking move for many a reason mostly because it now says to your audience that any character can now freaking die and yeah this film is easily freaking better then both Scream 3 and Scream 4 combined in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least.
This is the worst film in this franchise. The motive was dumb. The Sam character was bland,unlikable and had no charisma whatsoever.
To be honest as a fan of the movies this one kinda fell short and it wasn’t the actors fault more the directors but its still decent.

For me the best part was when the movie’s second murder was in the progress n The Peaky Blinders theme(Red Right Hand) was playing in the background. Had to point it out.
This is what you would call a typical Scream movie. Don’t get me wrong, it was a damn good Scream film. The kills were more brutal kills compared to the other films. But it was nothing ground breaking, or no new takes on it like the new Halloween films. The lead actress wasn’t the greatest when it came to acting also. To me she threw off the vibe of the rest of the cast. But either way, give it a watch if you’re a Scream fan, well worth a watch!
