Resting on 18th and 3rd, the Lyric Theatre is the last remnant of Birmingham’s Vaudeville days. It’s stage has been graced by such legends as Mae West, Milton Berle, and the Marx Brothers, and it has witnessed 92 years of Birmingham’s history, from segregation to the Great Depression. The theatre’s story is told by a group of interesting characters, most of whom remember the theatre in it’s many different phases. |
