An elderly man has had enough of society and the world, and makes a deliberate choice to step across a threshold into voluntary exile from the world. Yet, strangely, as a homeless outcast he finds the mental and emotional space he needs to be happy. The derelict building he calls homes lies behind barbed wire, a no man’s land. When an unknown women surprisingly appears outside his territory the man is faced with a traumatic choice. Should he open the gate and step back into the world to help a fellow human being, or should he continue to hide himself away in his private space? |
