Holly, a private detective’s assistant, becomes unhealthily obsessed with the case of a missing girl, Tara Stokes, who was believed to be abducted and murdered fifteen years ago. As unsolvable fragments of Tara’s childhood come to light, Holly’s boss Spencer becomes increasingly angry that she is neglecting other work, and Holly becomes more and more unstable. When he finally explodes Holly reaches breaking point, and the source of her obsession is revealed. |
