A snapshot of the life of a disaffected teenager living in a small town as he reaches a moral crossroad. Ryan has finished school, just turned 18, and spends his days drinking and getting high. This particular Thursday night is no different as Ryan socializes and discovers that he doesn’t really know his friend Nick or girlfriend Susan at all. In turn he escapes the party in a drunken stupor, but then is confronted with a dilemma. “Spit” is a film about the suffocating stranglehold of barriers and limitations, the disillusion of youth, and the futility of life. |
