Details:

By all accounts Loren Pickford has lived an extra-ordinary life…And while he has not achieved houshold-name status, he has gained a following in the musicians underground in America….playing clubs all over the world, and supporting some of the greatest acts of the past fifty years like Ray Charles, Jackie Wilson, and Miles Davis among others… After Hurricane Katrina washed his home away in 2005, Loren and his partner Shiela were attempting to resettle in the west coast when their car broke down in Kansas City…they’ve been here ever since. This documentary looks at the improvised life of this legendary saxophonist, as he has traveled, loved, and above all created his art. Along the way he has earned a grammy nomination, rave reviews in national jazz magazines, had run-ins with Tom Waits, and even acted in a Sam Sheppard play. This is the life of Loren Pickford…
