The great Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov said: don’t believe in everything what you hear. This is the main idea of the film: skeptic old man argues with his naive old friend and asks him: ‘why do you always trust information of TV and newspapers? Why are you sure that they have never deceived you?’ Two old men argue all the time with each other. One of them is naive and the other is skeptic. They try to find answers to questions: why did inquisitors burn at the stake Giordano Bruno? Is really The Earth round? Why should we trust any TV or press information blindly? Eventually skeptic man implants doubt in naive man’s mind and they make up a conclusion: ‘We’d better don’t be naïve! Let’s explore carefully everything ourselves and we’ll understand that they give baloney to us all the time!’ |
