Kati, Nori and Imi are siblings living together in great poverty in a Sub-Carpathian village at the Hungarian-Ukrainian border. Their life is becoming more and more unstable and the suicide of their parents is hanging above them as a dark cloud. The document subtitled Sub-Carpathian Soap Opera shows, with radically naturalistic immediacy, the life of a (cursed) family from the Hungarian minority in Ukraine and, as a detailed analysis of their existence, depicts the incongruity and variability of mental reactions. |
