The current Dark Matter led me to this. I really enjoyed it and can’t believe they cancelled it like they did. Almost every episode had something really cool and novel. The android, Zoie Palmer, and Melissa O’Neil (The Rookie) are both exceptional. If we could forget all our bad experiences and memories, what would we be like? I’m game.
reminds me of farscape in initial concept and shares some similarities if you have taste and love farscape this format will be appealing on that level. the writing isnt as good/consistent on minor things which annoyed me bw the first 2 episodes (characters have an exchange in ep 1, in ep 2 they have another which makes it seem like the first didnt happen? in an annoying way) but this isn’t prohibitive to enjoyment it’s just i guess little consequences of writers being a bit different ep to ep. it def gets better as it goes on! melissa o’neil outperforms everyone in every way. they have less aliens than farscape but more emphasis on the escaped prisoners part so they all have pretty badass combat skills that are fun to mentally rank if you’re into that too. the story is going in intriguing directions and i enjoy hanging with the characters. i only wish i could fully rely on what theyve said in the past as meaningful (idm an unreliable narrator if intentional! i just worry there are some oversights in writing. but its not put me off yet)
I watch this show because I’m hot for Android!
Join Joseph Mallozzi later today #DarkMatter fans for our Dark Matter Monday finale. Will be discussing Episode 313, Nowhere To Go, with a special surprise guest (or two!) 2:30 PM PST: https://youtu.be/G30vzt1mVzo
Just stumbled onto this show and saw it had potential and a relatively high rating. After two episodes, I am totally underwhelmed. Boring formulaic plot, wooden dialogue, and pretentious actors. I might give it one more episode, but probably not.
Definitely a “let’s pretend” kind of scifi series Gen Z would like.
Oh, spoiler alert, it’s from Canada. Oops.
