Another A++ true crime doc from Netflix. Apart from showing the utter evil and cold brutality of Ramirez’ crimes, two things stuck out: I really liked how they took the time to show how the lives of the detectives involved in catching Ramirez were effected and the contrast of how far the science of Forensics have come since 1985. It’s hard to believe that a shoe print was the main piece of evidence the Detectives had to work with!
Agreed!! I usually HATE Netflix BUT they do make good true crime docs. I enjoyed the Bundy one too. I am a TC addict though. I’m always told “ You consume way too much of the horrible stuff” but life is not cotton candy and unicorns!! lol. The more screwed up the better. I just find it fascinating. Probably because its the complete opposite to anything I would do. Honest!!! I enjoyed the Night Stalker book by Philip Carlo too.
This is definitely worth a watch though 5 stars!
Anyone have any crime-doc recommendations similar to this one? I don’t watch enough of these to know the other good ones.
Not a documentary but there’s a series called Signs of a Psychopath-it’s mainly real life police interviews of the actual perps. The way these people talk about doing unspeakable things done to another human being with calm and bloodless voices is what got to me. Gory details are spoken about in the interviews so forewarned e.g. the recent case with a young blond guy who murders a well liked homeless dude is quite shocking.Well, I liked it the series.
Great series!!!
It’s easy to demonize what we don’t understand, but if you read about what he went through growing up it’s not surprising that he turned out the way he did.
Doesn’t change anything
Thank you and I agree. I had a horrific childhood, was sexually abused, gang raped, beaten and tortured daily starting at 2.5 y/o and I never became a serial killer.
If there ever was a person that I thought could be Satan himself or something like that evil creature from Steven King’s “The Outsider”, it’s him. What a fucked up individual. Evil to the bone.
Excellent documentary. I’m positive that God has punished him.
This guy was evil to the bone! Just his face and flat black eyes! Brrrrrrr. Put a “d” in front of evil and what do you get? Satan personified - the Night Stalker.
