I am looking forward to this and a bunch of new people to get to know! “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation stars William Petersen and Jorja Fox are to return as Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle in CSI: Vegas, a sequel to the original series of the TV phenomenon. The show has been given a straight-to-series order network CBS for later this year. Petersen and Fox will be joined by new co-stars Paula Newsome (Barry), Matt Lauria (Kingdom), Mel Rodriguez (The Last Man on Earth) and Mandeep Dhillon (After Life) as Grissom and Sidle’s colleagues.”
Dang it! I liked this CSI! CBS Has Axed CSI: Vegas the move is likely to make room for CBS’ new slate of shows that are expected for the 2024-2025 season. With the third season of the popular procedural well underway, CBS made the shocking move of canceling CSI: Vegas before its fourth season.
Whaaaaaaat??? Whyyyyyy?
The only thing I could find was what I posted. Think it’s time for a writing campaign! Something is a miss at CBS, they canceled NCIS: Hawaii (which I really couldn’t get into). Yet all of these dramas are somewhat alike, just in different locations, that’s the NCIS spinoffs I’m talking about.
I liked NCIS before Michael Weatherly and Mark Harmon left. I couldn’t care less about the spin-offs. I loved all the CSI’s but this is the only CSI left standing.

I’m stoked that the OG’s are back but WHY?!! WHY??!! Why do we have to put up with Sara just to get some Gil?!!

I cannot agree with you more. I am actually watching the first seasons and she is a horrible person to work with. Why did they keep the character so long and force this weird Gil relationship on the audience? It’s so awkward how Gil is a normal acting fun guy that everyone likes in the pilot and then by midway through the first season they age him up 15 years or so and make him this socially & emotionally detached person who is clueless. Sarah behaves like a petulant child.
While I’m thrilled to see this series take off again, I am a little disappointed in the new characters. Most of them just have kind of boring personalities and have conversation that is not engaging. If you watch the original series, the characters were funny, zippy, edgy, and the whole atmosphere was more energetic. This is a bit of a slog to watch.
Season 3 starts on Sunday.
Never really watched the original where this cast came from but this is surprisingly good. Also the main story plot is really interesting. 5/5
