Captain Janeway: “I’ve seen my share of wayward crews, and I can tell you this: You’ve got potential.” That pretty much sums up how I feel after two episodes. It doesn’t blow me away, but new Trek series rarely stick the landing right out of the gate. Seeing Kate Mulgrew back on the bridge is nice. Yes, some of the new characters feel uncomfortably familiar if you’ve seen Star Wars: Rebels. But that doesn’t mean the show won’t find its own direction.
did the star wars animators make this trash? star trek + cbs = crap star trek + nick = garbage st + cbs + nick = pure filth thought i was watching clone wars…a bad version at that…have the creators of these new shows ever watched star trek? at least lower decks retains the st feel…only new series that does. orville is more st than this show or discovery
i think the orville captured the spirit or maybe essence of star trek. I thought discovery was just complete crap.. all they need to do with this one is let the janeway hologram be janeway, and the rest of the show will just fall into being trek..I am liking it.. I like the animation style..I really like the clone wars and the bad batch too.. :)
Was honestly expecting this to be sorta crappy. Lower Decks is watchable for me, but only when I am doing something else, such as sanding the stock of a rifle, rebuilding an 1800’s shotgun, redoing, building or upgrading a computer, and so on… This, was actually pretty good. I didn’t believe it was for, “Kids and adults to enjoy together!” since usually, this means ONLY that an adult has to suffer through it. (have to admit, I thought that kitten/cat would surely get on board, somehow, just for the kiddos.. glad I was wrong!)
I may be wronng, but I think the majority of viewers watching this show are definitely pulling for the kitten to join the crew at some point during the series.
Admittedly, I am slightly biased since I own a black cat named Morticia. lol.
So far, I am really liking this show and the slight nuances Kate Mulgrew is putting into the development of Janeway’s character.
Hey, just noticed that someone else posted for this on another place for this show that episode 1 & 2 was a 2 part all wrapped into one episode in the first episode, was an extra long episode (first one), which is a true fact. I believe YK Jack also posted about the same thing confirming that, from the official site, that the first episode was a 2 part episode wrapped into one episode, so the second one was part of the first one.
From there it is supposed to go to episode 3. That would explain why they left out episode 2 on the other site as well, was all part of the first episode, then went right to episode 3.
The show has just been officially renewed for a second season.

Good for the kids but anything new that they can do for adults where they don’t screw up :S?
I really like this style of animation as well.. first episode was good..
i tried but this is unwatchable for anyone over 6
Season 2 has been release in France early ….. AGHHHHH!!!
Just started watching season 2 and noticed Mar’jel is named after Gene Roddenberrys wife Marjel Barrett
I thought the same - Lord of the Flies meets star Trek :p

Wow that’s exactly what I thought looking at this from the outside let’s hope I’m wrong gulp

Correct.
