In The Pembrokeshire Murders, the story centers around two unsolved double murders from the 1980s. In 2006, newly promoted Detective Superintendent Steve Wilkins decided to reopen both cases. Employing pioneering forensic methods, Wilkins and his team found microscopic DNA and fibres that potentially linked the murders to a string of burglaries committed in the 80s and 90s. The perpetrator of those robberies was nearing the end of his prison sentence, but if Steve Wilkins was right, he was also a serial killer. Could Steve and his team find enough forensic evidence to charge their suspect before he was released to potentially kill again? |

Can’t wait to see this. I really love Luke Evans!
OMGosh!
Hmm and that is a spoiler how ?
Good job. Lean police procedural. Lots of tension, good acting, gorgeous landscapes, beautiful photography. No gratuitous cruelty. Decently fast-paced. Very close to the actual case details. And, yes, Luke Evans.
This one reminded me of another ITV True Crime series called “White House Farm”. Overall, the writing (Nick Stevens and Marc Evans have done some top shelf crime series) and acting were superb but a 3 part mini-series is not enough time to develop characters on a personal level, thus the father/son dynamic (between Luke Evans character and his son) the writers attempted fell short and was more of a distraction than a contributing factor to the narrative. 4/5
Very good British mini-series. Luke Evans was brilliant.
