The Third Day follows Sam, who after being drawn to a mysterious Island off the British Coast, is thrown into the unusual world of its secretive inhabitants. Isolated from the mainland, the rituals of the island begin to overwhelm him, and he is confronted by a trauma from his past. As the line between reality and fantasy blurs, Sam finds himself immersed in an emotional quest which puts him at odds with the islanders and begins to threaten their way of life.

Great acting, Jude Law, with an eerily intriguing storyline. Has a M. Night Shyamalan vibe to it.

So,Jude did a Matt Damon there?

Jude Law is like a blank canvas, he can take on a character and make it his own. He has never been typed cast and I don’t think he ever will be. He makes sure each movie/tv show he takes on is not the same ole some ole. We think of Clint Eastwood as a cowboy or a cop, Vin Diesel as a badass, Sylvester Stallone as another badass or gangster. But you can’t pigeon hole Jude Law!

Yes! This does not deserve the meh rating on IMDb. Huge fan. Made a playlist last year

Stephen King comes to mind after watching the 1st episode. Not sure if there is a British writer equivalent to Stephen King. But whomever wrote this might have been inspired by SK?

Just got done watching the first episode last night. Going to mark this as a spoiler just in case, but not going to say much, as I don’t like giving anything away. Had a feeling about that little kid at the start of this, which was confirmed at the end of the first episode,so def. a supernatural element to this. Real acting in this, and drama, not like a lot of the stuff out there now, was a refreshing difference, for sure going to give this a shot.

CLASSIC folk horror. Jude Law is great at this character (and so different from the Young Pope you’d never know it was the same person). 5/5 can’t wait for the rest.
