I just watched the first episode and was impressed by the quality of this new British costume-drama. A Lady Detective in Victorian London.. makes a change! Good production values and acting, looks like the start of an entertaining series, if this is your kind of thing :))x

If you watched the 4th season, you know one character has left. I was hoping but he’s not coming back. Big change on Masterpiece’s popular drama Miss Scarlet and the Duke. Stuart Martin, who played William “The Duke” Wellington in the previous four seasons, will not return for season 5. Kate Phillips will return as Miss Eliza Scarlet for a fifth season of investigations, and the series will be retitled Miss Scarlet.”It has been such an incredible joy to bring Duke to life through Rachael’s beautiful, brilliant writing, and to get to play him for the past four years,” said Martin in a statement. “But it felt like the time was right for Scarlet to explore new stories and challenges for now, as the show continues to grow and evolve. I will miss working with my amazing partner in crime Kate and the rest of our brilliant family and team, but I’m excited to continue following Eliza and her escapades as a huge fan and newly enrolled Scarleteer!”

Season 4 was very different from the same-same of the first three seasons as far as her and William’s relationship is concerned. The ending leaves possibilities for a love triangle in the future. Hopefully, it will be renewed for a season 5.
Put this on my watch list a while back and have just started watching I have to say 3 eps in that it is very good witty and well written and I am really enjoying it so far the only problem is the sexual tension with the Policeman that the writers are going for not an easily done plot line set against a Victorian backdrop
I love this series! My only complaint is its too short sadly. Looking forward to the finale today. :)
IMDb rating is 8.0 as of 4/8. I’ll give it a shot.

Wow they made another show with just miss scarlet! I used to love that old show miss scarlett & the duke.
This place is the best because they always get the latest things and they do so with great accuracy and care.
Hold on a second my assistant is just giving me some breaking news… oh…ummm… eesssshhhh.
Perhaps the person doing the detail work has practiced leaving out half of reality far too often that it has become unconscious habit.

I enjoy this series i hope it comes back. I like i because it is a clean show like Murdock Mysteries.There is no visual sex in this show there is mention but it is not shoved down your throat like so many other shows.This is good clean fun and i hope they have many more seasons.
