Landscaping a backyard slope poses an inherent challenge. But this brick-filled space is anchored by several great projects. Taking a cue from the existing brick retaining wall, the "Crasher" crew adds a 10-foot-long brick fountain with handcrafted metal swan waterspouts surrounded by a concrete deck. The back patio expansion includes a three-tiered pergola remodel that's tricked out in custom metal art, sunroofs and a brick basket-weave extension pad. The hillside gets all new landscaping to stabilize the soil, along with a swing-for-two overlooking a knot garden below. |
