Based on the Saturday Evening Post cartoons, the series centered around Hazel Burke, a maid, who for the first four seasons worked for the Baxter family. George Baxter was the head of the family which consisted of his wife, Dorothy and their son, Harold. Hazel ran the household and often preempted George's authority. The next door neighbors, Herbert and Harriet Johnson were occasionally seen. When the series moved to CBS in the fall of 1965, Hazel was given a new family to look after. George and Dorothy were transferred to the Middle East leaving Hazel and Harold behind. They moved in with George's brother, Steve and his family, which consisted of Steve's wife, Barbara and their daughter Susie.

The Rag Trade was a British television sitcom broadcast by the BBC between 1961 and 1963 and by LWT between 1977 and 1978.The action centred on a small clothing workshop (the title refers to the textile industry), Fenner's Fashions in London. Although run by Harold Fenner (Peter Jones) and Reg Turner the foreman and pattern cutter (Reg Varney), the female workers are led by militant shop steward Paddy Fleming (Miriam Karlin), ever ready to strike, with the catchphrase "Everybody out!" Other cast members included Sheila Hancock (as Carole Taylor), Esma Cannon (as Lily Swann), Wanda Ventham (as Shirley) in series 2 and Barbara Windsor (as Gloria) in series 1 and (as Judy) in series 3 replacing Sheila Hancock.The Rag Trade was revived by ITV company LWT in 1977, with Jones and Karlin reprising their roles. The 1977 version ran for two series, most of the scripts being based on the BBC episodes from the 1960s, and featured Anna Karen (reprising her role as Olive from On the Buses) and future EastEnders star Gillian Taylforth as factory workers.

He lives in a damp and dark cavern, which isn't too comfortable for someone of his standing. Unfortunately for him, life isn't always fair for a mountain lion and he has to constantly ward off hunters, and some people refuse to talk to him because they're afraid that he'll eat them, not that he would do such a thing. Through it all, Snagglepuss' life is one bizarre twist after another, and even though he's a swell guy, the civilized world seldom wants anything to do with him.

When student Janet Sommers brings up the topic of sex and dating, he asks students to write questions on the topic, and will cover them in the next class. The parents get wind of what Gifford is about to do, notify the principal, and he warns Peter not to read the questions in class. Gifford decides to go against this and is suspended. The whole student body protests, and the administration gets worried on what to do.
