The show played heavily into stereotypes, including two characters named Dylan and Chris, who wore leather jackets to show off their toughness, but which could not completely disguise their inner selves.

Are You Afraid of the Dark? is a show based upon a group of kids known as "The Midnight Society". Members meet in the woods and take turns telling their own spooky tales. The series aired on Nickelodeon in the United States as part of their SNICK line-up in 1992. It lasted for 5 seasons until it was canceled in 1996. Later on, it returned to Nickelodeon's SNICK block with a new cast for two seasons from 1999-2000.

"Rupert" is an animated television series based on the Mary Tourtel character Rupert Bear, produced by Nelvana, Ellipse Programmé and TVS for the first season, with Scottish Television (now STV Central) taken over control when TVS closed. Street Justice revolves around a U.S. Army soldier turned metropolitan police detective, Adam Beaudreaux, and Grady Jameson, a martial arts expert. As a child, Grady saved Adam's life when he was wounded in Vietnam. After the encounter, the two never saw each other again and when Adam became a cop, he vowed to find the boy who saved his life. He eventually finds Grady and discovers that Grady's parents, who were Canadian missionaries in Vietnam, were killed and the boy was left to fend for himself. Adam gets Grady a job at a bar he owns with his friend, Malloy. Grady soon begins helping Adam on cases using the knowledge he picked up living on the streets along with his martial arts training.

Sandy Miller (Stephanie Hodge), was the cynical, but dedicated, second in command. The best friend of Empty Nest's Laverne, Sandy was a Texan prone to dating the wrong men. Gina Cuevas (Ada Maris) was an immigrant from the small country of San Pokeno. Virgin Gina spent her days lusting after Dr. Hank Kaplan. Greg Vincent (Jeff Altman) was a goofy anti-authoratative type with a penchant for physically attacking the doctors.

Harry and the Hendersons is an American sitcom based on the film of the same name. The series aired in syndication from January 13, 1991 to June 18, 1993, with 72 half-hour episodes produced. The series is about a family who adopt a Bigfoot called Harry.

The Samurai Pizza Cats are a trio of crime-fighting super-heroes in the town of Little Tokyo, Japan. Wearing Samurai costumes, they burst through the air to the rescue from a humongous cannon connected to their headquarters - A fast food restaurant. Little Tokyo is populated by all kinds of animals. The official governor of the town is the Emperor, but since he became insane, a council takes care of the well-being of the village. One of the members of this council is called Seymour "Big" Cheese, who secretly wishes to take over control of the village.

Little Shop is a 1991 American animated fantasy comedy television series that aired on Saturday mornings on the Fox Kids TV network in 1991, about a teenager and a giant talking plant. Little Shop was based on the off-broadway musical Little Shop of Horrors.Self-proclaimed nerd Seymour Krelborn, an adolescent boy who works in a flower shop, keeps a pet Venus Flytrap named Junior. Junior sprouted from a 200-million year-old seed and has the ability to talk and hypnotize people. Only Seymour is aware of Junior's abilities. The flower shop is owned by stodgy Mr. Mushnik, whose daughter Audrey is the object of Seymour's affections. Audrey, however, does not seem to reciprocate his feelings. Buck-toothed Paine Driller, a neighborhood bully, continuously targets Seymour.Episodes focused on the pubescent exploits of the leads and frequently featured a moral. They also featured a couple of musical numbers per episode. Consistent with the "urban" persona of the plant in the musical, Audrey Junior raps in the series during his numbers, and speaks in a hip-hop dialect. Also featured are a trio of singing flowers reminiscent of Crystal, Ronette, and Chiffon (the three chorus girls in the musical).

"James Bond Jr." is an animated series, produced by Murakami-Wolf-Swenson and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Animation, debuted on 30 September 1991, with a total of 65 half-hour episodes produced. While attending prep school at Warfield Academy, James Bond Jr., with the help of his friends IQ (the grandson of Q), and Gordo Leiter (the son of Felix Leiter), fight against the evil terrorist organisation SCUM (Saboteurs and Criminals United in Mayhem), a SPECTRE-like organization.

Marty, Doc Brown, Jules and Verne travel through time in the Doctor's modified DeLorean, bouncing from one era to the next where a different adventure awaits them each time. Between shows there are live-action segments featuring Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown with Bill Nye the Science Guy.Following the conclusion of the third movie, Doc Brown settled in 1991 in Hill Valley with his new wife Clara, their sons Jules and Verne, and the family dog, Einstein. As with the films, time travel was achieved through the use of a modified DeLorean, which had apparently been re-built after it was destroyed at the end of the trilogy The DeLorean now has voice-activated "time circuits" and can also travel instantaneously to different locations in space and time, in addition to folding into a suitcase. The characters also travelled through time using the steam engine time machine Doc invented at the end of Back to the Future Part III.Although Jennifer Parker made occasional appearances, the show focused primarily on Marty and the Brown family, whereas the movies focused on the McFly family. The film's villain, Biff Tannen, also appeared from time to time. In addition, relatives of both the McFly and Tannen families were plentiful in the past or future parallel time zones visited. Unlike the films, which took place entirely in Hill Valley and the surrounding area, the series frequently took the characters to exotic locations.At the end of every episode, Doc Brown would appear to do an experiment, often related to the episode's plot. The first season also included post-credits segments with Biff Tannen telling a joke related to the episode, possibly alluding to Thomas F. Wilson's career as a stand-up comedian.

2Point4 Children follows the lives of the Porters, a seemingly-average family whose world is frequently turned upside-down by bad luck and bizarre occurrences.

Top of the Heap was the first spin-off from FOX's most successful program Married... with Children. It chronicled the escapades of a father who is trying to get his son hooked up with a rich broad. One of the things working against him is the fact that his son is on the same intelligence level as Kelly Bundy. Vinnie falls into a job at Rolling Hills country club, where he becomes very popular with ladies; however, most of them are old and married. And as with any spin-off series, characters from the parent series would often make an appearance to start the show off on a higher ratings note, which in this series didn't help. Not one to give in, Ron Leavitt, co-creator of Married... with Children has brought Vinnie's character back in the spring of '92 with a series called Vinnie & Bobby; this series is chronicled in another entry.

Baby Talk is an American sitcom that aired on ABC from 1991-1992. The show was loosely based on the "Look Who's Talking" movies and follows the adventures of Baby Mickey, as he commented to the audience on the misgivings and new wonders of his world.

P.S.I. Luv U is an American crime drama series that aired on CBS as a part of its 1991-92 schedule. The title derived from the phone number of fictitious Palm Security and Investigations, which was 774-5888, which can be reached by dialing "PSI-LUVU" on a standard North American telephone. P.S.I. Luv U is the story of two people who had been working together in a failed New York Police Department "sting" operation. Joey Paciorek (Greg Evigan) was a policeman, while Wanda Tallbert (Connie Sellecca) was a con woman who was working with the police only as part of an agreement which was to keep her out of prison. As the failed sting involved organized crime, when it fell through it became necessary to place both of them in the witness protection program. Posing as married couple Cody and Dani Powell, the two were placed for employment at Palm Security and Investigations in Palm Springs, California, a private detective agency owned by Matthew Durning (Earl Holliman), who was the only person outside of the government who knew who they really were. Occasionally seen during the series' run was Sonny Bono, who was at the time the real life mayor of Palm Springs.

This nostalgic family comedy, which series creator Gary David Goldberg loosely based on his own childhood, chronicles life in 1956 Brooklyn, N.Y., from the perspective of Alan Silver, a middle-class Jewish 14-year-old who shares an apartment with his parents -- George, a postal worker, and Phyllis, who also works outside the home -- and his younger brother, Nathaniel. Phyllis' parents, Jules and Sophie, live in the same building. Alan is dating Katie Monahan, a Catholic girl, which is hard for his grandmother to accept, although in every other respect Sophie is stern but loving and tolerant.

Otis Drexell is a corporate raider who is known for getting the deal done. He is then caught red handed for dodging taxes, and given a suspended sentence so long as he works as a school teacher at an elementary school until the back taxes are paid. Every week, Otis would do the best he could of making the adjustment of going from the boardroom to the classroom with the help of his two daughters.

Was a show loosely based on Troma's blood and gore flick the Toxic Avenger. The show aired in 1991 and was unfortunately pulled before all 13 season 1 episodes could air. Only 5 of the episodes aired on TV. The story is about a nerd Melvin Junko who falls into toxic sludge and becomes a hideously deformed creature of superhuman size and strength. He decides to do battle for justice and right the wrongs against pollution on our earth.

A crew of freedom fighters led by Captain Bucky O' Hare fight the toads in their ship called the Righteous Indignation.
