Good movie, but I’m still wondering what was in that so called rescue ship . 8/10
Vilka underbara kuddar, Mima. What wonderful pillows, Mee-maw.
is good
Very cool. Kinda like Cargo (the swiss sci fi, not the aussie zombie flic), but much more twisted storyline. Props to kingarco66 for turning me onto this one, and a big SKĂ…L! to the uploader!!!

This sounds like the plot for Avenue 5.
Aniara revolves around a giant space cruise ship set adrift. It’s dark and slow paced, nevertheless captivating. I also found the ending worth waiting for.
Essentially, the ship and it’s inhabitants represent a parable; a story of human existence and search for meaning. It’s even said at one point that “Aniara” is a planet unto itself. To drive the simile home, we’re all floating endlessly through space, and we’ll eventually die. Do we have reason for hope?
This type of film might not be for some, but superb for the late night, atmospheric sci fi crowd.
Note: The basic scenario is strikingly similar to the comedic scifi “Avenue 5”, but they’re polar opposites in how they play out.
