In the format of Godfrey Reggio’s ‘QATSI’ trilogy, ‘SATYA’ is an exploration of the spirit of the unchangeable. The ancient Sanskrit word ‘satya’ is loosely interpreted as ‘the absolute truth’, ‘that which has no distortion’, ‘correctness.’ These fundamentals were upheld in the filming process and are the thesis for the film. The piece is set to a Buddhist chant. |
