Man, I’m so burnt out on this BS on weapons that just don’t work this way….I don’t even know why I even know why I even bother any more. If your going to make a movie about a war or war fighting, at least have the courtesy to at least get the weapons right, and not have a hand grenade blow a whole building up, or at least change a 30 round magazine now and again.
And how many people just stop and die from a ‘shoulder wound’, really? Please…Enough, already. People that have fought in wars know better. This is just sickening. Do it, and do it right. Make people understand what it’s like to fight one of these, and maybe we will have less of them.
Maybe….
This isn’t what I would consider a war movie, it’s an action movie. There are many war movies with realistic-ish weapon usage. Not saying all war movies are realistic, but action movies tend to have different standards. The first and one of the only non-war movies I remember seeing with realistic gunfire was Heat. https://www.primewire.tf/movie/246258-heat That said, I served and still spend time at the range every month, and yes it sometimes gets under my skin, but only when I’m in a mood. Most days I enjoy the escapism. This movie just isn’t very good and realistic firefights would probably not have saved it.
All good points. Rarely sit and watch anything much anymore, have been though recently, take a bit of a break here and there. Was looking for something this night, and stumbled across this, and it was just a fail. There were a few others I tried as well that were disappointments.
I saw Heat a good time back, good movie. Appreciate the link though, thanks for that. Pretty rare to find much of anything ‘realistic’ anymore, and that’s a fact. I think I might be part of the problem as well. The older I get, I see I’m starting to miss more things that likely will never resurface again, and with that I’m probably getting a bit jaded. But what can you do? Times change, and we have to roll with that.
Peace man.
If you want to watch a somewhat realistic war movie (as realistic as Hollywood movies can be), you should watch Fury.
Not a movie, but the most realistic portrayal of jarhead life since FMJ was Generation Kill, per my experience fwiw. https://www.primewire.tf/tv/21100-generation-kill
I already watched that one, was actually pretty good, those guys went through a lot, if that was any indication of a real story. Snap! Started to watch Fury last night, only made it halfway through, had to crash, but noted where I left off, and want to go back and finish, that’s a decent movie if you’ve never seen it. Good tank battles in that. Other things there that are pretty realistic as well, and some right good acting as well.
Thanks for the idea, lust looked it up and booked marked it. Think I might have looked at this once before, but not watched it, but will do so now when I get the chance.
does this even fit to talk about?lol
