Into The Depths is a thriller that doesn’t quite take its self seriously. Playing on the conventions of established genre pictures, Into The Depths starts just after the murder of David’s parents, an incident so traumatizing to David that he flees into the forest where he feels safe and comfortable. Five years later George, the killer of his parents, reemerges. A bumbling park ranger has chased George into forest, which David sees as a threat and attacks them. Unfortunately George gets away leaving the park ranger in the custody of David. However, as the ranger sleeps, David starts to put the pieces together in his head and soon realizes that the man who just escaped is the killer of his parents.
