‘Both sides of the Picket fence’ starts off like any typical Mexican immigrants journey to the U.S. But it slowly develops into a two sided journey of financial freedom, adventure, love, and betrayal. Jose is caught between the unconditional love of his financially poor mother and his lavishly celebrity living father. Jose is determine to make the most of his odd living and so he masters to code switch from a well off boy to learning how to outwit the neighborhood thugs at his permanent residence with his mother. He eventually has to make a decision what side he has to take in order to fulfill his destiny. |
