An artist engages Clancy, the laborer, for a model for a painting. He is made to pose in an Indian suit. Clancy finds a bottle, aid drinks freely, soon showing signs of an Indian uprising. The artist flees and Clancy climbs the fire-escape and enters the flat of Capt. Smythe of the town militia, who is boasting of his bravery. Clancy chases him down stairs and makes him change clothes with him, and do a war dance to the consternation of a lady caller, who faints. He finally runs into the arms of the law, and is taken to jail, where he has a chance to reflect on his boisterous conduct. |
