Far beyond what the world at large suspects, ordinary folk are letting nonviolence bring them home to the peace that is their soul’s longing by actively deciding to live, love, choose, change, grieve, grow take hold, let go and face violence, peaceably. As wars rage on street corners and continents, cultures of peace are becoming a quiet global phenomenon. Through lives of nonviolence, increasing numbers of earth’s children are re-seeding our planet with peace in the way humble wildflowers re-seed themselves, drawing life, form and color from the soil of their native habitats and ancestries, their cultures. It is often “invisible” because, unlike violence, the events of peaceful living are normally not headlined in the mass media. |
