Molly cannot think of a way to finish her latest play. Instead she writes a story about her sister when they were children. Genevieve and her father build a boat just her size. But she is afraid to sail in it. She takes her imaginary friends for imaginary rides. Then one day her Father moves away and Genevieve hopes he will come back if she sails the boat. Once on the water she thinks she might like to stay sailing forever until she gets caught in a storm. Then she wishes her father would come and rescue her but he does not. Genevieve sails the boat home on her own and she writes her father a letter about her adventure. |
