In her much-anticipated foray into the horror-thriller genre, Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Taylor Schilling stars in THE PRODIGY as Sarah, a mother whose young son Miles’ disturbing behavior signals that an evil, possibly supernatural force has overtaken him. Fearing for her family’s safety, Sarah must choose between her maternal instinct to love and protect Miles and a desperate need to investigate what or who is causing his dark turn. She is forced to look for answers in the past, taking the audience on a wild ride; one where the line between perception and reality becomes frighteningly blurry. |

Keisha_Ruan, your profile states about you: “im a friendly person and like most people.” You havent done a very good job to prove that…
Thanks, Robo-Pal! Some people are not as polite and respectful as you!
Hush now, the adults are talking.
I saw this film in the theatres, its not worth your time. Plot is and messy filled with people making laughably bad decisions at every turn.
Yea I totally agree.
Thank you for sharing.
eff 02/21 : Brand New HDCAM Version.
You are a master of d-baggery.
It was full of cliches, especially the parents who are in denial, despite seeing things for themselves, therefore making dumb decisions. And of course, it’s always the mother’s fault. It been used so many times. Not enough character development, therefore I didn’t care for anybody. Too predictable to the point of seeing the scenes way ahead of time. But the most important of all, NOT SCARY. Jump-scare is NOT horror, it’a a reaction to a sudden sound. I wish directors would understand how annoying it is. Lazy writing. sigh. Another movie with potential, left in the wrong hands, for a ordinary movie. Not the worse but not the best.
Not bad, pretty creepy . Worth a watch….6/10
I didn’t like that ending!! Grrrr
Unsettling. Leaves the story open for a sequel. Stories that center around children are to me, the scariest of all because you aren’t expecting that kind of violence from a young, innocent looking child. This young boy was pure evil masquerading as a mental illness. In this day and age when there is a lot of mental illness already affecting society, this stretches the imagination to a whole new level, beyond reasonable thought and right up there with demonic possession and the supernatural. No happily ever after to be found.
