Cool made me think of Johnny Mnemonic
On the button. 5 years later, this film plays like a new classic. Has aspects of Equilibrium with Bale, which takes a lot from Bruce Lee. But has quite a bit of Crichton’s 1974 Terminal Man with George Segal.
I just last week bought a copy of Terminal Man to replace my old VHS copy. Stunningly scary pic! Loved it - and loved Upgrade.

Your comment got my attention. Really liked Equilibrium. Have yet to find another movie like it. Might have to watch this one.
It’s quite good. The action is Equilibrium style in the close-range combat sequences. Not as elaborate, but that’s the flavor. The story however is straight from Crichton’s Terminal Man, which can be seen in other transhumanism type stuff. This flick has set a while, so after seeing it again earlier, it played real well. Hope you dig it.
Just watched the trailer after making my comment, and really liked it. Will be watching this one soon, right up my ally!
Once the pace notches up, it moves fast. Surprised no sequel after half a decade, but best stuff is usually one-off anyway.

Overall a good action-scifi movie.
the (sci-fi) concept is interesting, nicely setup and the director went to the end of his idea. The actors are pretty good, including the main actor that, like Bruce Willis, doesn’t hesitate to “get dirty” for the part.
The plot is a bit predictable and the clashing of blood & meat a bit show-off which, for me, puts it more in the “action movies” section than thriller.
WOW the other commenters weren’t kidding—-this is a riveting story, and very well done! Suspenseful throughout, with a strange techno musical score that fits the mood perfectly. I didn’t know a single actor here (Australians, I think), but they were uniformly great in their roles and really drew the viewer in immediately. No Hollywood cookie-cutter stuff here; quite original! Hope there will be a sequel; there’s surely more of this cautionary tale to tell. Recommended!
Am about to watch this now, Thanksgiving day, rave reviews, but now that you of all people said such good things I am waiting with baited breath to see this! About to take the deep dive, trailer looked great! Once again, Happy Thanksgiving!

This was excellent! A little Venomesque, great action, and the funny thing is, Logan Marshall-Green looks an awful lot like Tom Hardy. So glad I found this. Thank you, uploaders!

Fantastic movie! Unique premise with some wild action sequences and cool camera angles and a sprinkling of humor here and there, for good measure. Solid acting by all with a believable plot. An easy 4.5/5 stars and a must watch!

It was an entertaining watch, however, nothing original or exciting. I hated the “villain” character, so uninspired.
Amazing Sci-Fi, so well done! Instant classic body horror fun!
