Chie, who is a recent college graduate, becomes engaged to a man. Her life, however, takes an unexpected turn when she is diagnosed with terminal cancer. The ensuing treatment should render her infertile. Despite that, life delivers another unexpected twist when Chie finds herself impregnated. She is now faced with the difficult choice of risking her own life or ending the pregnancy for which she has yearned. Chie adopts a traditional Japanese diet and puts the lifeline she is given to use. |
