Josh is a very alone senior in high school. He has a realization at a party, and after detailing support from writings by Nietzsche and Sartre, that the most empathetic thing he can do is perform a school shooting. He attempts to find another solution, reaching out to his only friend Edie for advice, but eventually comes to a brutal conclusion. The film is a character study of a very lost young man with a very destructive and morbid sense of reality. |
