Since she first picked up a controller, Lily Lee has dreamed of being a professional gamer. Her father, John Lee, is convinced that this is a phase and Lily must continue her education at U of T, get her degree and work in a ‘proper’ occupation. After Lily announces she is quitting school to become a professional gamer, Mr. Lee feels he must do something to stop it. He hires an online ‘assassin’ to kill his daughter’s character in hopes of discouraging her from playing. After Lily is clearly frustrated and hurt, the two are forced to have a conversation they’ve been avoiding for years. |
