Private Detective Lennox and his young partner Terry arrive at the hotel room of one of their clients. Johnny, only to discover that he just went out the window. They were in the middle of an investigation to help determine the cause of Johnny’s father’s death a week prior, and the eventually successor of his father’s very lucrative company. Word of who was the rightful heir must be delivered to the company before midnight a week after his father’s death. With midnight fast approaching, and Johnny already dead himself, the two private detectives must piece together the stories from the other hotel guests, managers and girlfriends to determine what happened to Johnny, and the location of his father’s written order announcing who would take over his company in the event of his death.
